Gardens are coming together

Well, I made it back, lol, it didn't take a whole year this time, yay! I can honestly say I have been busy doing garden stuff at least when the weather has permitted. I have collected many plants over the years that have gotten straggly and dead looking from just waiting to be put into the ground so I have spent a lot of time cleaning them up and getting them ready for the ground. This will be the year lol.

So as I mentioned the last time we were getting a greenhouse, well its here and has been great fun setting up and working in it. I have been planting seeds, taking cuttings, and cleaning up plants in need.  I am so going to have enough lavender to open my own farm, I WISH. I took starts from the lavender that just didn't do well in pots and that were ready to throw away. In hopes the cuttings  do well I will be replanting all of my old  straggly lavender with new, fingers crossed. Anyway the greenhouse is more like a glorified cold frame not sure if I will put heat in it or not but this is the last thing I need to worry about right now.  My goal for now is to just get all the plants I have collected over the years off my deck and into the ground.

Still not loaded with energy, I have been dealing with pollen allergies never had them until I moved here, defiantly not high on my list of fun, just hoping to get through it asap. Anyway today was a bit cold and a lot windy so didn't get much done outside today, but I was out there for a bit, trying to decide on what flowers to plant in what pots. I did however plant some potatoes for the first time, so we will see if that will happen again. since we put the greenhouse in it took away some of my garden beds so I really need to think out how I will lay them out this year. I decided this time it will be all about edible plants and companion planting so I have tucked in some roses here and there for rose water and such along with a lot of other edible flowers, other food items and herbs will also be in the gardens so it should be very interesting come summer to see how it all plays out.

We have names for all of our garden areas and this area is called the edible inspiration garden. Bare in mind I have food in other gardens but this one is only edible. All of my gardens can be inspirational but I call it that because my creative space overlooks this garden so as I look out the window and gaze upon the flowers and greenery I can be inspired for the projects I work on at the time, or just sit back and do some day dreaming.

Well that's enough for today so I wish you a great night and I will be back again soon. Until then here is my dear diary for this week

Dear Diary, I cant wait for the real spring to get here, is this wrong? I hear about the weather across the country and feel horrible for the people dealing with tornadoes earthquakes and ice storms, I feel guilty for wishing for warmer dryer days, as I am sure they are wishing for the same. Mother Nature can play crazy for sure but she is so important in so many ways with this being said, I am sending out hope and prayers to all of those in need of a little warmth and assurance that it will happen for us all. Stay strong God and or whoever your belief is, is watching over you.     It will be ok

Sending you Love, Huggs, and Kisses until next time

Ollie overseeing the process :)
